Afghanistan in Peril

Thank you for having the gumption to run “Where Misery Is Daily Bread” (May 8) dead-center on the front page. The plight of the Afghan people at the tyrannical, murderous hands of the Taliban should be kept at the top of everyone’s prayer list. Hopefully, prominent coverage like yours will help provoke the U.N. and/or the U.S., not to mention every feminist organization in the world, to action someday soon.
