From staff and wire reports
A wrongful death suit has been filed by the family of a Bakersfield man who died in police custody.
Experts who reviewed the case for the city said Ricky Ochoa, 24, died from a cocaine overdose and self-inflected wounds. His family says officers used excessive force to restrain him and failed to provide him with medical attention.
Ochoa died at Kern Medical Center after being subdued by police with the help of two jolts from an electric-shock Taser gun.
