The amount of food Little India Cuisine can pack in a compact bundle for takeout is amazing. An entire menu, from soup to dessert and naan bread, is ready to go in minutes. You choose either vegetarian or non-veg main dishes, and they change from day to day. With vegetarian orders, you get two main dishes such as baingan bhartha --eggplant cooked with tomatoes and peas, seasoned with the restaurant’s own blend of garam masala--and potatoes cooked with carrots, cumin and the same mildly spicy masala. Accompaniments might include dal soup, colorful basmati rice, yogurt raita , salad, a veggie roll made with potatoes and mixed vegetables, jalapeno pickles, a large naan bread, and for dessert, kheer (rice pudding with raisins).
