Road Rage Might Have Led to Injury Accident
Road rage may have caused a weekend accident in which three teenage girls were injured when they were ejected from their car on the Antelope Valley Freeway in Palmdale, authorities said.
The accident occurred at 9:10 a.m. Saturday near Avenue P on the northbound side of the freeway, said California Highway Patrol Officer Becky Lynch.
The 1993 Volkswagen in which the girls were riding veered into a railing on the side of the road when a 2000 Honda, driven by a 40-year-old Pasadena man, suddenly braked in front of it, Lynch said.
The teenage driver, 17, sustained major injuries; her two passengers, each 16, had moderate injuries, Lynch said.
All three were transported to area hospitals.
The driver of the Honda has not been charged, pending an investigation, Lynch said.
