Casa Pacifica Receives $100,000 Donation

Casa Pacifica received $100,000 from an anonymous donor who requested that the gift be named in honor of former UCLA basketball coach John Wooden.
The donor said he admired Wooden for his many accomplishments and outstanding leadership.
Casa Pacifica, the county’s shelter for abused and emotionally disturbed children, will use the money to fund its programs and activities.
The Camarillo facility also plans to name its gymnasium after the legendary coach during a special ceremony later this year.
