Street Improvements OKd at Valley Sites
The Los Angeles Board of Public Works has unanimously approved street improvement plans for sections of Canoga Park and Van Nuys.
Improvements include new trees, street lights, signs, enhanced crosswalks, street furniture and other landscaping, officials said.
A section of Sherman Way between DeSoto and Eton avenues in Canoga Park and an area bounded by Vanowen Street, Hazeltine Avenue, Aetna Street and Cedros Avenue in Van Nuys are slated for improvement, officials said.
The plans would provide standards and direction for coordinated improvements to public streets, officials said. Construction will begin as public and private funding becomes available.
