Presidential Papers

Share

What a surprise. After three times delaying the release of former President Reagan’s papers, which were to be released on Jan. 12 as required by law, President Bush has signed an executive order that effectively bans the release of these papers--and those of his father’s and his own administration--for decades to come (Nov. 2). Once again, Bush acts the “good son,” protecting the interests and intentions of his father and his father’s colleagues over those of the founding fathers and the American people. Why is he doing this and what is he determined to hide?
