Plan OKd for Crystal Cove
The California Coastal Commission on Tuesday unanimously approved an interim plan for the historic group of cottages at Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Beach.
The project, which includes installing a sewer system, allows for temporary use while state parks officials craft a long-term plan for the picturesque coastal strip north of Laguna Beach.
The plan also calls for converting an art studio into an interpretive center and remaking five cottages as a lifeguard headquarters and four state parks employee residences. Some of the 46 ramshackle cottages would be repaired.
