Renovate Ancient Greek
Congratulations to Los Angeles officials for taking the first step in approving the renovation plans for the Greek Theatre (“Parks Panel OKs Greek Theatre Plan,” Nov. 8). As one of the city’s cultural icons it deserves to be preserved and improved as a performance venue. The renovation will not only restore the design of the original architect, it will also create a better environment for performers by modernizing the facility. The preservation project and the innovations proposed by the Nederlander company show a true appreciation of our city’s architectural heritage as well as the historic status of the Greek Theatre.
