Simi Valley police detectives on Sunday afternoon arrested 18-year-old Robert Paul Winters of Ventura in connection with a multiple stabbing that left one man dead and two others injured.

A family friend of Winters called detectives and arranged the teen’s surrender, authorities said. He was taken into custody about 5 p.m. near Telegraph Road and Ashwood Avenue in Ventura.
