About 2,000 people were evacuated from a Los Angeles International Airport terminal for more than four hours late Wednesday after the discovery of a substance that was found to be dairy creamer.

The plastic bag containing the substance was discovered in the area where passengers pick up their luggage, said airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles.
Passengers were allowed to return at 12:20 a.m Thursday, an official said.
