Kinko’s Departure

It is a shame that Kinko’s is leaving Ventura County and the state of California. I was pleased to read that the city of Ventura had made a valiant effort to keep them, but business decisions that they feel are in the best interest of the company and not necessarily the community or the employees are made by large corporations.
In the long run, I am not so sure that the move will improve sales or the profit margin, but the effect will be felt for a long time both mentally and economically. As the city’s third-largest employer, they will be missed.
On the bright side, Oxnard welcomes the arrival of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, a more than welcome addition to Ventura County.
