This game will decide the Western League title. Westchester has come back strong after being shut out by Long Beach Poly. The Comets are not as big on the offensive line as they have been in the past, but there is still plenty of speed on offense and defense and especially kick-return units.
San Fernando (4-2, 2-0) at Sylmar (4-2, 2-0), Friday, 7.
A capacity crowd is expected for this game, which will likely decide the Valley Mission League championship. San Fernando seems to have rebounded from nonleague losses to Van Nuys Birmingham and Woodland Hills Taft. The Tigers feature receiver Ramon Perry, who has scored 14 touchdowns and is one of the City’s best all-purpose threats. Sylmar lost to Dorsey and Chatsworth.
