District May Apply Its Dress Code to Teachers
From Times Wire Reports
School officials are looking into whether Madera teachers need a dress code like the students.
Some parents claim teachers do not follow the same restrictions that are placed on students, said a Madera Unified School District trustee.
Trustees and administrators plan to discuss the issue with teachers union leaders, who oppose any restrictions.
Trustees have banned students from wearing revealing clothing, such as bare-midriff tops, and some brand names thought to be associated with gangs.
