LAX-Bound Jet Makes Emergency Stop in Utah
An LAX-bound plane from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport made an emergency landing Saturday night in Cedar City, Utah, after experiencing possible fuel problems.
None of the 118 passengers or five crew members was injured. Flight 129 landed at the Utah airport around 9 p.m., said Chris Nardella, a United Airlines spokesperson. “We did hear indications that there was burning fuel,” Nardella said. “But we can’t confirm anything until the plane is checked.”
Another airplane was dispatched from Denver to pick up the passengers, Nardella said.
