A 35-year-old man was found shot to death inside his Burbank home Monday, and his 55-year-old uncle reportedly has admitted killing him, police said.

Phillip Norman Perry, also of Burbank, was arrested on suspicion of murder after officers discovered his nephew’s body at the North Keystone Street home they shared, said Lt. Kevin Krafft of the Burbank Police Department.

The nephew was identified by the county coroner’s office as Phillip Andrew Perry.

Police went to the house about 2 a.m. Monday after getting 911 calls from neighbors reporting shots fired, Krafft said.

Officers found the uncle at the house. “He walked outside and surrendered,” Krafft said. “He admitted he shot and killed his nephew.”

The suspect is being held at Burbank jail in lieu of $1 million bail, Krafft said. Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.
