Sweep Nets Suspects in Slaying of 2 Men

About 100 police officers descended on five South Bay communities before dawn Wednesday and arrested two suspects in the July 30 slaying of two men in a bail bond office near Torrance City Hall, police said.
Armed with warrants, the SWAT teams searched 10 locations in San Pedro, Carson, Wilmington, Harbor Gateway and Long Beach. Arrested were Mark Pirante, 44, and Rogelio Quintana, 32, both of San Pedro. They are being held without bail at the Torrance Police Department jail.
