Retiring Air Force One to Make Final Flight

Air Force One 27000 will make its final flight today before being retired to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, and the public is invited to watch the jet’s landing at the San Bernardino International Airport.

Ceremonies will begin at 10:45 a.m. at the airport at 294 S. Leland Norton Way. The landing is scheduled for 11 a.m. For more information call 800-410-8354.

Once a hangar is built on the library grounds, the Boeing 707 will be reassembled and exhibited there. It was the primary jet for Reagan and former presidents Richard M. Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, Jimmy Carter and George Bush.
