Woodside Wins Two Season Titles at Irwindale Speedway

Sean Woodside of San Marino finished third in the feature race Saturday night and won the Food4Less Super Late Model and Miller Lite Big 10 Challenge season championships in front of 5,120 at Irwindale Speedway.

Anaheim Hills’ David Gilliland won the 75-lap race, holding off Tommy Fry and Woodside for his fourth victory of the season.

In the Automobile Club Late Model main event, Mike Price of San Pedro caught point leader Deryk Ward to take the 75-lap race. Despite finishing eighth, Ward holds a six-point lead in the season standings.

Deyon Young of La Verne won the American Race Trucks main event, Andrew Phipps took the 40-lap Super Stock main event, Terry Limberopoulus captured the 40-lap Modified 4s main event, and Jim Smith took the 30-lap Legends main event.
