Events Postponed, Canceled

Because of Tuesday’s terrorist attacks, a number of arts and entertainment events have been canceled or postponed. Today’s Calendar Weekend reflects schedule changes made as of press time, but it is advisable to call venues for confirmation of events.

The following events are among those canceled or postponed:

* The Wildflowers Festival tonight at the Sun Theatre, with Judy Collins, Janis Ian, Roger McGuinn and Richie Havens, has been postponed.

* The play “Funny You Don’t Look Like a Grandmother” is dark this weekend. It will resume its regular schedule as of Sept. 22.

* Saturday and Sunday performances of “Almost Love” at Playhouse West Studio Two are canceled.

* Actors Conservatory Ensemble’s performance of “Airplane! The Reading,” scheduled to run Friday and Saturday at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Amphitheatre in Coldwater Canyon Park, has been canceled.

* The Museum of Contemporary Art has canceled the opening reception for all shows. The museum will be open.

* The reception tonight for sculptor Nancy Rubins at Gagosian Gallery has been canceled, but the exhibit is open.

* The Getty Center reopens today, but events have been canceled. Tonight’s lecture on Walker Evans by Peter Galassi and the Sunday lecture on Armenian manuscripts by Helen Evans have been canceled. The photography symposium “The Open Road,” scheduled for Friday through Sunday, has been postponed.

* At the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, tonight’s celebration of the reinstallation of the Virginia Steele Scott Gallery has been canceled.

* The opening night performance of “Lohengrin” at Los Angeles Opera was canceled Wednesday night. The next performance is Saturday at 2 p.m.
