2 Bank Robbery Suspects Arrested After Chase
Two men who allegedly robbed a bank at gunpoint were arrested Tuesday after a police chase.
The robbery occurred about 9:30 a.m. at U.S. Bank in the 3300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. The men fled in a minivan but switched to a U-Haul van before driving east on Rosecrans Avenue, police said.
The van rammed into an El Segundo police car, then got on the northbound San Diego Freeway. As the suspects approached the Century Freeway interchange in Hawthorne, they got out, jumped over a wall and ran, police said. Hawthorne police arrested them after a short foot chase.
