Family of Man Killed in Flood Wins $2.6 Million
From Times Staff Reports
A jury has decided that Chino should pay $2.6 million to the family of a man who died when his car was swept off a roadway during a 1996 flood.
The family of Sadi Mosaferi sued the city, alleging that it had failed to erect guard rails where Pine Avenue flooded.
The jury handed down its verdict Tuesday after a four-week trial in San Bernardino County’s West Valley Superior Court.
