Students, Families Walk to Raise Relief Funds

Harbor Day School students and their families are taking part in a walkathon today to raise money for New York City disaster relief, officials said.
The 1 1/2-mile walk will begin at 1 p.m. at the Armed Forces Monument at Pacific View Cemetery.
Schools across California are participating in similar events, authorities said, with students in kindergarten through eighth grade carrying flags and wearing red, white and blue.
