Cable TV Dispute Finally Resolved

Share

In the category of better late than never, Fox Sports Net and Time Warner Cable resolved their dispute Monday. That means all remaining Dodger telecasts scheduled to be shown on Fox Sports Net 2 will be available to 350,000 Time Warner subscribers in the Los Angeles area. Also, Angel telecasts on Fox Sports Net will be available.

The two entities have been at odds since late June over rising costs of Dodger and Angel telecasts that are passed on to cable companies. The addition of 40 Dodger telecasts on the Fox Sports Net 2 schedule two years ago caused an increase of 21 cents per month per subscriber, which went to 22 cents last season and 23 cents this season.

“We are happy to resolve this issue with Time Warner Cable so their Dodger and Angel fans will be able to enjoy the final games of the season,” said Steve Simpson, Fox Sports Net general manager.
