Woman’s Body Is Found in Car Trunk
A badly decomposed body of a woman was discovered in Van Nuys on Tuesday in the trunk of a car belonging to a missing person, police said.
The body was found after officers noticed a “foul smell” coming from a vehicle on the 14800 block of Camarillo Street, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Victoria Diaz.
No identification has been made, and police could not confirm whether the body was that of the missing woman. Diaz did not name the missing woman or say when she was last seen.
Detectives said foul play may have been involved, but a cause of death had not been determined, Diaz said.
