Two men died when their car struck a bus carrying farm laborers on a rural road early Monday in the Imperial Valley.
Four of the 19 farm workers on the bus reported minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol. The bus driver was not injured.
The car, a 1989 Toyota Corolla, was traveling at about 70 mph when the driver apparently lost control and swerved into the path of the bus on State Road 98 near El Centro, about 90 miles east of San Diego.
The names of the men who died were not released. Both lived in Calexico, the CHP said.
