Body Found by Creek; Homicide Suspected
Police are investigating an apparent homicide after a tip led them to a decomposed body near San Juan Creek on Friday.
Orange County sheriff’s detectives found a man’s body about 1:30 p.m. under the Interstate 5 Freeway overpass near San Juan Creek Road, sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said.
The man had not been identified late Friday, and the cause of death had not been determined, Amormino said.
Investigators suspect homicide because they received three anonymous calls in the last week about the body.
Detectives searched the area but did not find anything until Friday, when the third call led them to the body, Amormino said.
