County OKs 1st Library for 10-Year-Old City

From Times Staff Reports

County supervisors approved a lease Tuesday for the first library in Laguna Hills, which incorporated 10 years ago.

The 1,400-square-foot branch of the county library is expected to open in June in the city’s community center. It will cost about $250,000 a year to run.

Unlike a traditional library, the branch will have about 25 computers and rely mostly on electronic data retrieval with a small book section, said Lynn Eisenhut, the library system’s regional manager.
