Security Firm Owner Enters Guilty Plea

The owner of a business that provides security at government buildings nationwide pleaded guilty Thursday to submitting false financial statements to the Bank of America.

William J. Guidice, 49, owner of United International Investigative Services of Anaheim, admitted exaggerating his company’s income and earnings to increase its line of credit by about $5.5 million.

The company has contracts for services at federal buildings and at foreign embassies.

Guidice, who entered his plea in federal court in Los Angeles, faces up to six months in prison.
