Wine of the Week

Share

Once Cotes du Rhone was synonymous with cheap table wine. Not anymore, and it’s wines like this one from young Olivier Cuilleras that are upgrading the appellation’s image.

Made from Grenache and Syrah vines that are at least 40 years old, it has a clear, bright ruby red color and a flavor of dark cherries. It’s juicy yet firm, and very ripe without a hint of jamminess, which makes it a terrific match with food.
