Doctor Arrested After Sex Assault Complaint
A doctor was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a patient, authorities said.
Reda Gamal, 51, a neurologist with offices on Irvine Boulevard, was being held at Orange County Jail on $200,000 bail. He was arrested after a woman told police he had touched her inappropriately during an examination. After consulting experts in neurology, police investigators arrested Gamal in his office, said Sgt. David Kreyling of the Tustin Police Department.
Gamal, a resident of Irvine, was booked on suspicion of unlawful penetration with a foreign object, Kreyling said.
