What: “Beyond the Glory”

Where: Fox Sports Net, Sunday, 8 p.m.

Kobe Bryant is featured on this week’s edition of “Beyond the Glory,” and although it’s an informative and well-produced show, it may not go far enough to fully explain Bryant, who remains somewhat of an enigma.

Besides Bryant, others interviewed include Jerry West, Phil Jackson, Eddie Jones, Derek Fisher, Kurt Rambis, Bryant’s high school coach and a couple of high school teammates. Maybe more noteworthy is who is not interviewed--Bryant’s parents, his wife and Shaquille O’Neal.

One thing the show focuses on is Bryant’s adjustment to life in the NBA as a teenager.

“What do I want to go into a bar for? I don’t drink,” he says. “I’m underage anyway.”

Another topic is Bryant’s feud with O’Neal.

“We’re both killers,” Bryant says. “We like to go for your throat. It was just a matter of us finding out how we can do that and do it together. Then we figured it out. It was fun getting there.”
