Noisy Motorcycles
I am in full agreement with John Balzar’s April 25 column on motorcycle noise. For some reason, these riders think they have a right to make such excessive noise, noise that causes conversations to stop, people to cringe and cover their ears and sets off auto alarms. This is a problem in my Long Beach neighborhood of Belmont Shore/Belmont Heights, where I have brought it to the attention of my councilman and the local police. One merchant whom I communicated with was afraid there might be retaliation if he asked them to be respectful of the neighborhood.
Something needs to be done before the quality of life on yet another level is reduced for all.
