Freeway Closures Set for Widening Project
A portion of the northbound Ventura Freeway is scheduled to be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
The freeway will be closed from Vineyard Avenue to Ventura Road for construction work. Traffic will be detoured during the closure.
In addition, two lanes of the southbound Ventura Freeway from Victoria Avenue to Wagon Wheel Road will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the same nights. Although one lane will remain open, the on-and offramps at Johnson Drive will be closed.
The construction is part of a two-mile improvement project to widen the freeway between Ventura and Oxnard.
