MTA’s Valley Sector to Hold Its First Meeting
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s new San Fernando Valley sector will hold its first community meeting tonight to seek suggestions from the public on how to improve the region’s bus service.
The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the state building in Van Nuys, 6150 Van Nuys Blvd.
David Armijo, the sector’s general manager, will answer questions and field suggestions on routes, schedules and other transit issues.
The Valley sector, which began operation last month, is part of an MTA effort to decentralize into smaller, more efficient regional operating units and be more responsive to public needs.
