1 Man Killed, 1 Wounded in Boyle Heights Gunfire

One man died and another was wounded in a Boyle Heights shooting, police said.
The two men were approached by an unknown number of assailants who fired several shots at 11:49 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Soto Street, said Los Angeles Police Officer Lucy Diaz.
The victims were taken to a hospital, where one man died, Diaz said. “We don’t have any witnesses at this point,” she said.
The dead man’s name was not released because his relatives had not yet been notified.
