Some Areas Get Over Half an Inch of Rain

Rain and thunder slammed eastern Ventura County on Saturday afternoon, dropping more than half an inch of water on several communities and causing minor street flooding.
The mountains above Ojai and the cities of Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley were hit hardest, according to the county Flood Control District. Nearly a quarter-inch was recorded along the coast Saturday.
