Kings Will Receive Apology for ‘Joke’

Share

Doug Moss, the Mighty Ducks’ vice president of business operations, said he would call King President Tim Leiweke today to apologize for the inappropriate humor about King fans on the message board at the Arrowhead Pond.

During the Duck-King game Friday, a list of why King fans sit together during games at the Pond included a tasteless joke that angered King officials, including Coach Andy Murray.

Moss said he has spoken to the person responsible.

“It’s all been addressed,” Moss said. “You won’t be seeing that again, not even close. I want to do fun things, good-natured ribbing. That’s what we’re going to do in the future.... I don’t like bathroom humor and I don’t want to get personal. It has been made really clear how we’re going to go about this.”

The Ducks’ Stanislav Chistov and Chicago’s Tyler Arnason faced each other for the first time Sunday. They began the game as the top two rookie scorers in the NHL. They finished in the same spots. Chistov had an assist and has 14 points. Arnason had a goal and has 15 points. He leads rookies with seven goals.... Defenseman Ruslan Salei sat out because of back spasms. He is questionable for Tuesday’s game at Detroit.
