Hull Lifts Red Wings to Tie
Brett Hull scored on a one-timer from the left circle with 46 seconds left in regulation Friday night to give the visiting Detroit Red Wings a 3-3 tie against the Dallas Stars.
Hull tied the game on a cross-ice pass from Brendan Shanahan.
San Jose 3, Columbus 2 -- Vincent Damphousse scored with 1:45 left as the Sharks won at San Jose in Coach Ron Wilson’s debut with the team.
Colorado 7, Montreal 6 -- Radim Vrbata scored a power-play goal 1:52 into overtime as the Avalanche won at Denver.
New York Islanders 4, Toronto 2 -- Arron Asham scored twice to lead the Islanders at Uniondale, N.Y.
Washington 7, Atlanta 6 -- Michael Nylander capped a comeback for the Capitals by scoring with 2:36 left in overtime at Washington.
Florida 2, Carolina 0 -- Roberto Luongo stopped 40 shots for his first shutout of the season as the Panthers won at Raleigh, N.C.
Buffalo 4, New York Rangers 1 -- Miroslav Satan scored three goals for his fourth career hat trick to lead the Sabres at New York.
New Jersey 3, Pittsburgh 1 -- Martin Brodeur made 20 saves at East Rutherford, N.J.
