Shopkeeper Held in Pot Investigation
From Times Staff Reports
A 22-year-old Marina del Rey man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating a large crop of marijuana that authorities believe was intended for sale in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
Steve Greenbaum was taken into custody Friday by Ventura County sheriff’s deputies at his fish aquarium business in Culver City, where authorities found 921 pot plants valued at nearly $900,000.
Ventura County authorities were led to Greenbaum after raiding a house in Ventura in September.
