Dashin Bye Seeks to Halt Losing Streak at 7

Share

After chasing the likes of A Ransom and Whosleavingwho in recent months, Dashin Bye will try softer in search of his first win in more than a year in tonight’s eighth, a $12,250 allowance at 350 yards.

Co-owned and trained by Blane Schvaneveldt, the 4-year-old son of First Down Dash is winless since taking a trial for the Texas Classic Derby on Nov. 16, 2001.

Since then, the California-bred has lost seven in a row, but was fourth behind A Ransom in the Spencer Childers Handicap and Los Alamitos Championship and was third to Whosleavingwho in the Go Man Go Handicap.
