The other men injured were Jonathon Whiting, 22, and Joseph Chavez, 22. They told police they had been assaulted in the vicinity of San Jose and Kohala streets. It was not immediately clear whether those incidents were linked to the stabbings.

Officers interviewed victims at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and Community Memorial Hospital and Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura.

Police, who are seeking additional witnesses, said the incidents may be gang-related.
