38 Groups Awarded Arts Alliance Funds
The Alliance for the Arts, the official nonprofit fund-raising arm of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, has awarded $141,500 in grants to 38 local artistic organizations for the 2003 season.
Among those organizations receiving grants are the New West Symphony, $13,000; Cabrillo Music Theater, $20,000; Ventura County superintendent of schools, $12,000; and the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, $5,000.
The Alliance for the Arts awards the grants to nonprofit organizations that stage performances at the Civic Arts Plaza.
