Washington wide receiver Wilbur Hooks Jr. was booked into jail for investigation of hit-and-run and reckless driving after his car crashed into another vehicle.

Police said Hooks, 22, of Kenmore, Wash., was traveling more than 80 mph in a 30 mph zone early Monday when his Volkswagen Passat ran a red light and collided with another car at an intersection.

A 19-year-old woman passenger in the other car suffered chest injuries and was hospitalized, police said. The 46-year-old man who was driving suffered back and knee pain but was not hospitalized. Damage to the car was estimated at $8,000.
