Pasadena subs in a premiere

Share

The Pasadena Symphony has replaced one world premiere by its composer in residence, Peter Schickele, with another.

The orchestra had planned to present Schickele’s Viola Concerto on April 19, but executive director Karine Beesley now says Schickele can’t get it ready in time due to previous commitments.

Instead, the orchestra will present Schickele’s revision of his Symphony No. 2, “The Sweet Season.”
