From Times Wire Reports

As U.N. inspectors hunted for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, actor Sean Penn spoke out in Baghdad against a threatened U.S. attack and in support of ordinary Iraqis.

“If there is a war or continued sanctions against Iraq, the blood of Americans and Iraqis alike will be on our hands,” he said at the end of a three-day visit organized by the Institute for Public Accuracy in San Francisco.

Penn was careful to say he was not supporting Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, but he challenged President Bush to disclose any evidence he has that Iraq possesses banned weapons.
