9 Are Infected in Hepatitis A Outbreak
From Times Staff Reports
Three adults and six children have been infected by an outbreak of hepatitis A in Santa Paula and Simi Valley, health officials said Tuesday.
Most of the children are from two Santa Paula families, said Marilyn Billamek, a public health nurse. The exact source of the infection is unknown.
Health officials said 150 people who may have been exposed to the infected individuals have been treated to stem infection.
