Cal State System Gets Grant to Fight Drinking

The Davis administration and the California State University system announced today a program to reduce the negative impact of alcohol on Cal State campuses.
At a news conference at Cal State Sacramento, Business, Transportation and Housing Secretary Maria Contreras-Sweet announced a $1.57-million federal grant to deal with alcohol abuse at Cal State campuses.
Cal State University Chancellor Charles B. Reed called alcohol abuse by university students “the No. 1 problem on university campuses.”
