Rampage Killer to Face Third Jury
A third jury will be asked to determine the fate of Dung D. Trinh, the man convicted of killing three people during a 1999 shooting rampage at West Anaheim Medical Center.
Orange County Superior Court Judge John J. Ryan refused a defense counsel request Thursday to sentence Trinh to life in prison without parole.
Two previous juries deadlocked on Trinh’s sentence, one with a majority favoring death, the other favoring a life term.
