Special Election Cost Estimated at $200,000
From Times staff reports
A Jan. 28 special election to replace Supervisor Todd Spitzer should cost no more than $200,000, according to a revised county estimate.
Registrar Rosalyn Lever said the costs include $60,000 for printing ballot materials, $39,000 for postage and $100,000 at the most for election day expenses.
Supervisors decided last week to proceed with the vote despite a Jan. 21 court hearing on the validity of the ballot measure authorizing the election.
